James H. Edwards
As a 61 year, life-long resident of Horry County, South Carolina, James was raised along with his two siblings by his parents James Horry & Linda Edwards on a farm just north of Loris, SC. He learned early on the value of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. He graduated as an Honor Student in the top ten of his high school class; played varsity baseball throughout high school, all while working two part-time jobs, one at a local retailer and the other each day on his father's farm through graduation. James' academics and leadership abilities earned him an opportunity to go to NC State University and to the University of South Carolina at the Coastal Campus, where he graduated with a business degree in marketing and began working with United Carolina Bank and BB&T's Trust Departments for 12 years in Trust Real Estate Asset Management before successfully pursuing his own real estate appraisal, brokerage, and consulting firm, Inland Associates, Inc. in Loris, SC. He has been married 36 years to Amy Edwards, a retired administrator for Horry County Schools and the Edwards' have two daughters Hannah, and Holly, who are both graduates of Loris High School and the College of Charleston. He is a grandfather to three grandchildren, Ariel, Bishop and Hudson. James has been a Christian and a Member of Dogwood Hill Baptist Church for fifty years. James continues to be a devoted member and servant of his church, numerous community groups, organizations, and area school functions and committees for which he has been involved for more than 25 years.
